Setup
Getting connected
Four steps, in this order, starting on your iPhone. At the end, your assistant answers in your own numbers and can put the next session on your Apple Watch. HealthBridge is free while it is small, and the coaching runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription.
Get the app onto your iPhone
Get HealthBridge for iPhone by installing it from Apple, then open the setup link on that same phone.
Sign in and run the first sync
Open the app and sign in with Apple, Google or GitHub. That is the whole of it; there is nothing to wait for.
Allow the Health categories it asks for and let the first sync run. It brings over up to two years of history from any watch or device that writes to Apple Health; after that, only what is new.
Add the connector to your assistant
HealthBridge is a standard MCP server. Claude and ChatGPT are both tested, and anything that supports MCP connectors works.
For ChatGPT, or to do it by hand, find custom connectors in your assistant's settings and paste:
https://health.mtnlabs.ai/mcp
Sign in with the same provider you used in the app and you are done. A different one means a code, which is step 4.
If you were asked for a code
Open the app, tap Connect Claude or ChatGPT in Settings, then Show me a code. Type the eight-character code into the page your assistant sent you to.
What to ask first
“How has my sleep been this month?” The answer tells you at once whether the sync worked.
When you want a plan, say what you are training for and when. Your assistant writes and publishes the sessions; they land in the app, and each can go to your Apple Watch as a structured workout with heart-rate or pace targets.
To see the block in your ordinary calendar, ask for a calendar feed
(health_calendar_feed). You get a subscription link for Apple or Google Calendar
showing each session as an all-day entry with its steps and targets. It is read-only and you can
revoke it at any time.
